The development from single-shot, muzzle-loading muskets to quick-firing bolt-action magazine rifles was completed within a period of 50 years. Many of these weapons were obtained from foreign countries, and because of this, the Normaal Schietschool (School of Musketry) held an exceptional international firearms collection, which is comprised of 218 firearms, many of which are unique and unparalleled.
